Thank you to all neighbors and friends that attended our recent 2nd annual “International Spring Fling” social held on May 15th on the cul-de-sac at the end of Mount Vernon Way.
We had a strong turnout of roughly 60-70 attendees from our Estates of Forest Creek (EFC) neighborhood, including all ages, many young families, new homeowners, and several long-time residents. Together, we certainly made it an enjoyable community bonding experience!
It was a come and go informal family-oriented gathering on a beautiful late Sunday afternoon.
Feedback was very positive, with attendees pleased with the opportunity to make new friends, meet new families in the neighborhood and catch-up with existing friends, while having a chance to relax and enjoy a variety of food, and have plenty of fun activities to keep the younger ones busy.
In addition, as our second “international” themed event, where we asked neighbors to bring a dish celebrating their heritage. Thank you again to all neighbors that took the time and effort to share their food with the rest of us. The selection of food was tasty and plentiful!
We had a DJ continually playing lively music, as well as plenty of crafts and games for kids and adults.
We all had a great time. It is so exciting to see this neighborhood become a closer knit community with the help of events such as this.
