The Estates of Forest Creek (EFC) is an attractive, vibrant and welcoming community conveniently located in Northwest Plano – considered by many as one of the most desirable areas to live in all of Texas and the entire United States.
Our neighborhood is a diverse yet cohesive mix of young families, empty-nesters, retirees and diverse ethnicities. Many of our EFC homeowners have developed close friendships with neighbors and we all watch out for one another.
Our community of over 400 homes uniquely offers very close access to a wide variety of City of Plano services (Police, Fire, Library, etc), parks, shopping, dining, entertainment, sports/fitness related facilities, walking/jogging/biking paths, and so much more.
Unlike most nearby neighborhoods, EFC has a divided main street (Hearst Castle Way) into and out of our community, with an elegant entrance way, tree-lined median and bridge connecting different sections of the neighborhood. Our EFC residents are fortunate to have the comfort and safety of a small town within our community, along with all the modern conveniences of a much larger city just minutes away.
EFC is ideally situated with easy access to the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex, including two major airports: Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) and Dallas Love Field. We are located in Northwest Plano, south of the US Highway 121 Tollway and situated about halfway between the Dallas North Tollway and US 75 Central Expressway. We are within just a few miles of the extensive Legacy Park business corridor.
A key motivation for families relocating to Plano is the excellence in education that has been the hallmark of our school district for more than 100 years. Our neighborhood’s K-12 students mostly attend outstanding nearby public schools in the Plano Independent School District (PISD), which is rated by many as one of the top public school districts in the country. In fact, our EFC neighborhood is directly across the street from Mathews Elementary School, a perennial “Blue Ribbon Award”winning school. The older EFC community kids attend Middle, High and Senior High schools that are all less than 5 miles drive. In addition, we have an abundance of pre-K programs and several highly rated private schools nearby.
Our EFC Homeowners Association (HOA) is considered by many of our homeowners as playing a key role in making our neighborhood such a desirable place to live – allowing residents to support the necessary beautification, maintenance and upkeep of the EFC common areas, have closer ties with their neighbors, and participate in a wide variety of HOA-sponsored social activities & special interest groups.
